We work with local WA stones because they hold up best under Perth conditions. Imported river pebble looks pretty but doesn't weather as reliably as the regional product. A consistent local supply is a big part of why we use Hanson mixes on our decorative finishes.
The benefit of working with a single major supplier is mix consistency. Truck three on a 60m³ pour should match truck one as closely as the mix allows. That sounds basic, until you've seen what happens when it doesn't.
